Hi everyone! I've been bad... again... some more... I know! I've been crafting like a crazy person for the holidays. For some reason this year I was just super overwhelmed! I think kiddos add that extra little "oomph" to the difficulty of getting things done.
My New Year's resolution for next year is to save more and spend less. I'm going to get super organized with my couponing and meal planning! I'm actually pretty excited. I downloaded this super cute template that I'm going to laminate and rewrite every week with a dry erase pen.
My other resolution is to give my blog the attention it deserves!
Thank you so much to all my followers :) It makes it a little less lonely out there to know SOMEBODY is reading this!
I hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far and has an excellent New Year.
I was going to leave yall with some fun pictures of what's been going on over the last few weeks but my computer is acting funky. Darn you Windows Vista!
But thanks again for reading!

I'm on the naughty list
I've been a bad blogger. A very, very bad blogger. My apologies! I'm going to blame Holiday madness. I've been running around like a crazy person since about mid November.
For Thanksgiving we went out of town to visit the in-laws. It was fun but sooo cold! It gets chilly up there in Tennessee. Or maybe I'm just a baby from living in Florida now :) It was nice for all of the hubby's family to finally meet Caiden. We celebrated his birthday a little early at Chucky Cheese. He had a pretty good time :)

Once we got back from vacation it was his actual birthday. I can't believe how quickly the last year has gone. My little baby is growing into such an amazing little boy. I cherish him so much and am reminded every day how lucky I am to have him. He is my biggest joy and inspiration.
1 year old
1 day old
Sigh. I get all teary eyed looking at old pictures of him. I love my baby :)
In other news, I'm participating in a local trunk show next week. That should be fun and a good way to get my name out locally. I'm in the process of cutting and sewing over 20 diapers to take. I'm like a crazy assembly line at this point.
Also an important note... from now on all Bear Booty Boutique giveaways/promotions will be done from this blog. Facebook has made it impossible to do so without having to pay a third party application to do them. Not cool.
And finally I just wanted to share our Christmas tree :)

11-8-10
Hi all! The last week has been kind of busy. Caiden and I both got sick which is no fun at all. He seems to be getting better but I'm starting to feel worse. I haven't done a lot of sewing for the store lately because I've been scrambling to get holiday things and Caiden's birthday presents done. I'm slowly but surely working through everything.
I set up my Etsy store today. I think I will have better luck selling there instead of Hyenacart. I'm hoping so at least. http://www.bearbootyboutique.etsy.com/
Oh and I made the CUTEST newborn longies and diaper for my friend who's due like any day now.

But right now all I really want is some tea, my couch, a warm blanket, netflix, and a good baby. So let's cross our fingers.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday! Thanks for reading :)

Good Morning!
G'morning, yall! I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween weekend. Ours was pretty eventful and fun. I can't believe it's November already! The holidays and Caiden's birthday are right around the corner.
I'm peacefully typing away and enjoying my English muffin and coffee because Caiden is still sleeping... IN HIS BED! Yep. We transitioned my big boy into his own room and he sleeps so much better now. It makes me happy to get use of the nursery too because we worked so hard on it. It's a pirate theme :) I love pirates.
On Friday the hubby went and sky dived with the Army's SOCOM paracommandos. He jumped at 13,500 and had a 60 second free fall! It was crazy. I could never ever do that. I don't like to fly let alone jump out of airplanes. It pretty much just solidified his desire to go special forces. He wasn't even nervous!
Gearin' up
He's so cute :)
Comin' in for landing
So brave!
He wants to do it again and again
Halloween was a pretty relaxed day. I made the most delicious pumpkin rolls I have ever tasted! They're seriously like heaven. I baked Caiden's little pie pumpkin so they were made with fresh pumpkin. So yum. We carved our big pumpkins when Caiden took his afternoon nap, otherwise he probably would have been eating the innards :) Caiden's a little young to go real Trick or Treating so we dressed him up just to take pictures on the porch. Then we stayed in and watched ghost shows and handed out candy. We really didn't get too many Trick or Treaters. Oh well, more candy for us :)
My pretty much most favorite picture EVER!
I've been crazy busy planning holiday gifts. Also I've been crocheting Caiden a pair of longies. I finished them initially when we were at Skydive City but they were too small :( So I took them completely apart and redid them. They're perfect now! I have to start over the Very Hungry Caterpillar pair too. My two skeins don't match so I'm going to have to alternate rows. I'm making Caiden a matching hat too :) I also made little red shoes to go with his Christmas longies.
The baby is still sleeping! It's almost 10. Craziness I tell you. But good for me because Mondays are my chore day. My dishes are sitting there in my sink judging me so I'm off to show them who's boss.

SORRY!
It's been over a week. I'm an awful blogger. Feel free to slap me on the hand and shake your finger at me disapprovingly.
I've been in a sewing funk lately. I'm sure it would help if I maybe sold something... but what can you do. In the mean time I did a couple customs which turned out fun. I made a custom wipes case, changing pad, and matching burp cloths for a high school friend. Also I'm in the process of crocheting three wool soakers. Never mind the fact ALL of the Christmas presents I have to make. I love handmade gifts because they mean so much more; but they're so much more work!
We went to Trick or Treat Street at Riverview high school on Saturday. It was a pretty neat event. They had food, games, costume contests as well as Trick or Treating. We met up with Caiden's cousins and my kinda sorta in laws :) I ran into a girl I knew from high school who I haven't seen since then. I was so flustered I came off like a total idiot and couldn't remember her name. Duh. Joe made fun of me for like an hour. Sunday Caiden and I went to his cousin's 1st birthday party and the husband went to the Buccaneers game. It was military appreciation day so he marched on the field with the color guard during half time. He cam home with all sorts of goodies. Oh and of course the Bucs won in the last 10 seconds of the game.
Caiden got a hold of the fishy the other day, so that was a semi-emergency. I heard the crash and dashed out of the sewing room in time to save the fishy. Luckily nothing was broken and poor Mr. Fish has made it. His home has since been pushed further back on the counter with no dangling leaves where Caiden can reach them.
I made stuffed peppers last night for the first time. They were pretty yummy but next time I'll make them with less rice, more meat, and layer the cheese. Tonight I'm making Parmesan lemon tilapia pasta.
But that's all I've got for right now. I need to put some snaps on diapers while Caiden is napping.

And it's Monday again
Mondays just keep sneaking up on me. I had to rush to the post office already this morning to get out a trial order of wipe solution discs. A lady commented to me that it must be nice to wear jammies and I thought she was talking about me! She was talking about Caiden :) I did look like a bum though.
I need to scrub my entire downstairs today because we're having a bug problem. I hate bugs. Hate them. I probably don't need to scrub everything but it will make me feel better.
I think it's going to be an iced latte day. I need some caffeine!
Over the weekend we went to the Fall Festival in Bradenton. It was fun but not really our "scene." The hubby and I aren't very country and the whole thing had a out in the country feel to it. They had signs warning about fire ants because you had to park in a field to get to the festival... I'm allergic to fire ants. No fun. We got Caiden a little pumpkin though and wandered around and looked at everything. Hubby got boiled peanuts. Um gross. He loves them though.
When we got back into town we went to a local Catholic church and picked out two pumpkins for us to carve tonight. I'm going to make pumpkin cheescake french bread and I think a pumpkin pie. I <3 pumpkin!
I finished several diapers this weekend and some fleece longies. I also got the wipe solution discs up. Now just waiting on customers :)
I need to start working on holiday gifts, too! The holidays are sneaking up right around the corner. I think we're going to try to do Christmas cards this year, too. Also my little boy's first birthday is next month. Tear. Where did my baby go? Just so much to do!
Thanks for reading :) Off to clean my mess of a house.

Thursday!
Hi yall! I hope everyone is having an awesome day before Friday!
Here are some pics of Caiden's new fishy :) For now he lives on the coffee table (that badly needs refinishing), but once Caiden gets bigger he'll have to find a new higher up home. I had almost bought the Peace Lily last week when I was at Lowes but I didn't for some reason. When I went back yesterday to buy it they were half off! Yay :) I had the vase and the pebbles already so all we needed to buy was the fish and his food. Of course I had to pick out the one $15 betta...

Today I made wipe solution cubes. I'm going to start selling those soon so I wanted to perfect my "recipe" for them. My hands smell all soapy and yummy now :) These are 100% veggie based and super moisturizing. I added a fragrance oil and TTO to keep the wipe solution fresh. I think for future recipes I'm going to add witch hazel and chamomile. One cube is good for 2 cups of water.
My pizza pinwheels for dinner last night were kind of a flop... they turned into pizza piles when I was trying to roll them up and slice them. Tonight we'll probably just have something easy. I'm thinking Hamburger Helper sounds good.
This weekend is going to be pretty busy. We have a mandatory Army Fun Day on Saturday at a bowling alley and on Sunday we're going to go to a Fall Festival in Bradenton. I'm excited to pick out our pumpkins and see the crafts they have there.
The longies I'm working on are slowly but surely getting done. I have two legs done now so I just need to do the butt and the waist band. I'm already craving some new yarn.
But that's it for today. Not a lot going on. I'm probably going to sew more later because I NEED to get dipes up I've just been lazy. I swear I have crafting ADD.

10-13-10
We're getting a fishy today :) I want to do that whole betta in a flower vase thing. And before anyone jumps down my throat; yes I know you still have to feed them and yes I know I still have to change the water and all that. So while we're out and about in a little bit I'm going to pick up a betta and a peace lily plant. I'm excited I think Caiden will really enjoy it. I just have to put it somewhere where he can enjoy it without touching it :)
I got the yummiest yarn yesterday. It's hand dyed in the Very Hungry Caterpillar colorway. I'm going to crochet it into longies for Caiden. I finished one leg last night in about an hour. I want to buy their Christmas colorway too! It's called, "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!"

Last night we had enchiladas for dinner. I made enchiladas a few weeks ago and froze half so I just popped that in the oven. Easy peasy. I'm going to make homemade pizza pinwheels tonight with ranch for dipping. Drool.
But I'm starving right now and I have whiny baby today so I'm off :) I may add more later today during nap time.

Morning!
Good morning! The store officially opened yesterday! There wasn't a rush to buy anything... but I wasn't really expecting there to be any :) I revamped my pattern a bit yesterday so all dipes sold will be from the new pattern. The crotch and butt is a little thinner to make a more comfortable fit for smaller babies.
On Sunday we went to Sea World and stayed the night in Orlando. It was a lot of fun. We always enjoy Sea World. I'm not really into crowds though so that always brings it down a bit. But it's to be expected at a place like that.
We had sushi for dinner last night and I don't really have any big plans for dinner tonight. I need to cleeeaaaaannnn my house pretty badly so I'll be doing that all day and sewing when I get a free moment. As I say at the start of every week, I just don't know how my house gets SO trashed over the weekend. It's craziness.
I got my hair cut over the weekend :) I donated 10 inches to Locks of Love so it's a little above shoulder length now. It's so much easier! Maybe now I'll look less like a bum every day. The husband and I decided it kind of looks like news anchor hair.
Have a great Tuesday!

Late Night Madness
Hello! I've been a slacker yet again. So sorry! It's late now and I'm finally calming down for the night. I've been on a sewing frenzy the last couple of days. My boys are already asleep and I'm happy to be joining them soon :)
I've gotten into sewing fleece lately so I need to add that to my product listings. I love fleece! It's so warm and fuzzy and water repellent! I've been making a whole bunch of fleece longies for Caiden to wear to bed at night since it's starting to cool down (as cool as it gets in Florida anyway). They also keep his bed dry should he wet through his diaper. Also fleece can be washed with normal laundry and doesn't require any special care. Using fabric softener actually makes them more water repellent! I made him these monster ones tonight. I'm pretty much in love with them.
I haven't finished Caiden's costume yet but it's close! I just need to finish cutting ribbon and gluing it to the head piece. I've used 72 yards already!

You may have notice I said "his bed" before when talking about Caiden. Yes, my big boy has finally moved into sleeping in his own bed. He's slept with us exclusively since about May. He refused to sleep by himself for a long time but he seems to have gotten over it. Caiden is still in our room though because he still wakes at least once in the night for a bottle. One day he'll actually sleep in his own room. Maybe. At least by high school.
For dinner tonight I made jalapeno garlic tilapia pasta. So spicy and so yummy! Next time I'll probably double the sauce though. I made a basic "man dinner" for the husband on Friday consisting of steaks, mashed potatoes, and lemon butter pan fried asparagus.
We've decided to wait until next weekend to get pumpkins so the pumpkin cheesecake stuffed french toast tutorial will have to wait until then. We're going to go to a farm in Bradenton to check out their Fall Festival. Should be a lot of fun :) There's a petting zoo, craft fair, food, pony rides, hay rides, pumpkin and corn cannons, and of course a pumpkin patch.
There are some listings up in the store that will be available starting Monday :) More to be added tomorrow and then just as I finish items.

26 days til Halloween!
I know, I know, I've been slacking in the blog department. I'm sorry! I've been super busy though because I've decided I want the store opened by next Monday. At least with a few things because I want to get all the Halloween merchandise out before it's too late! I made the cuuutest newborn longies today. They're so tiny and cute. They make me miss my little squishy newborn. Sigh.
My wipe solution supplies came in today. So I plan on playing with those after dinner. I also hit up JoAnn's AGAIN today. I think I have a problem when it comes to JoAnn's. I did get supplies to make a freakin' adorable Christmas diaper. Those will be unveiled later ;)
I made the chicken cacciatore last night and it was yummy. It would be good with a pasta as well as the rice we ate it with. Tonight I made tomato sauce from scratch again and then added everything to it to make chili. I made cornbread muffins too. Very down home-y. When I make chili there's always a ridiculous amount of leftovers so we'll probably have chili dogs and other things like that to use it up through out the week.
That's all for now! Thanks for reading :)

Fall weather!
It's kinda coolish here today which feels amazing! We've opened up our doors and windows and turned the A/C off. Take that electric company! I made raspberry cheescake stuffed french toast this morning which was delicious. Next weekend we're going to carve pumpkins and I'm going to save the pumpkin innards for making pumpkin cheesecake stuffed french toast. I think I'll do a whole tutorial on it to I'm so excited about the recipe :)
I'm currently typing to yall from my new computer! I love it. It's going to help me become so organized. I've already organized all my patterns and photos that I can. I'm bummed because almost immediately after I got my new cheapie camera cord, it died on me. So I had to order a new one. No new pics until then. Unless my camera on my phone finally takes a good picture.
I ended up not feeling well Friday night and didn't make the chicken cacciatore so I think that'll be our dinner tomorrow night. I don't cook that much on the weekends. Last night we had Chili's takeout Yummm skillet queso. Tonight we'll just have leftovers again.
I haven't really done anything diaper related this weekend. I'm crocheting the hubby a pair of moccasin house shoes because I never really make him anything. I like how fast they're working up. I also got a new soaker and longies pattern that I need to work on. I'm starting to think about Christmas presents for the family and those will take away from diaper time. It's fun to do new stuff from time to time though. I found the cutest crochet Santa socks that I think I'll sell come the Holidays. They're seriously adorable. Also I'm going to crochet my grandma some pretty rose slippers that I found on ravelry.com. I'm not going to mention what I'm making for my mother because I know she peaks in here from time to time ;)
My little man is going to be 1 year old at the end of next month. I can't believe it. He's so big already. I'm not ready. Sigh. I did see the coolest toy ever that I'm going to buy him for his birthday though. I'd like to make him a cute outfit to wear. I'm still not sure what we're going to do for him for a party. He won't know any different so it's obviously more for us. Anyway I'm rambling now at this point.
Off to make house shoes :)
I hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday!

It's finally Friday :)
I ordered my new computer. It will be here tomorrow. Yaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!! I spent $5 less than my budget too :) I ran to the post office again today and mailed off a Spongebob dipe and some used diapers to a sweet mama. Also went to Lowes so I could finish setting up the diaper sprayer because I was missing ONE part last night. I'm pretty excited about it. I hope it works well.
Also hit up the Salvation Army thrift store by my house and got 12 wool sweaters! TWELVE!!!! I'm so unbelievably excited. I'm going to use the arms on all of them to make longies then use the bodies to make either soakers or shorties. Now I need to order my hang tags so I can sell the upcycled woolies. I'd take pictures but I'm enjoying just sitting here right now. We are in teething hell. Caiden is finally napping so I'm just enjoying sitting here. I may finally eat lunch too. At 4 in the afternoon.
I'm making chicken cacciatore tonight with homemade spaghetti sauce. I think I'm going to make asparagus again with garlic bread.
It's been super hot here lately so I think tomorrow we're going to go to the splash park. Caiden loves playing in the fountains. I'll probably try to finish Caiden's costume this weekend too.
Have a fabulous Friday everyone!
